I must confess that I have as of yet only skimmed the document, but I'd like to put a vote in against not using the dictionary header. While it may save a byte or two when encoding the length of the string, I'm betting that in the average case, the schemas of the PSH src/dest will overlap with something in the primary header so you're better off using the dictionary. -m
