Hello (sorry for cross posting),
Today during the Deepspace IP IETF side meeting, I presented news about a recent fix on linux tc netem delay. While this is not about bundle protocol specifications, I’m sure people here are interested.

Currently, tc netem delay has a maximum value of 274s. Not bad for base testing, but not for simulating looong delays in space. After some email exchanges with iproute2/tc/netem author and maintainer, he provided a patch and we tested it since the last 2-3 weeks, works great! and the fix has been committed very recently to iproute2 repo. Commit: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/network/iproute2/iproute2.git/commit/?id=9a6b231ea1b09e450688c5814a4c89a57cdbee77

With that patch, we were able to do simulations with 18 hours one-way delay (36 hours RTT), from Earth to Voyager!

(If you need help for getting or setting netem with this commit, send me a note, happy to help)

Regards, Marc.
