This seems like something that would be ideal to layer on top of a HyBi/"Server Initiated HTTP" transport. It doesnt sound like something that everyone using duplex HTTP would want. Whether or not the conversation about this possible protocol belongs here, I truly do not know, but I want to call it out right now as something I see as decidedly "not transport", which was the question I interpretted as lying at the heart of Apples and Orangutans. rektide
