An IETF draft has been submitted for the BWTP protocol for discussion at the upcoming hybi BOF. https://datatracker.ietf.org/drafts/draft-wilkins-hybi-bwtp/ BWTP is a proposed transport protocol that could well support the websocket API among other uses. regards
