I disagree.  Open up https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc9413 and
search for “input”.  There are *lots* of matches; It uses words including
“unexpected” and “erroneous” and “faulty” and “ambiguous” and “illegal” and
“invalid”.   And lots of discussion of error-handling options.  I think the
language is essentially correct even though 9413 doesn’t use the word
“problematic”, which I think does a reasonably good job of covering the
9413 vocabulary. Open to suggestions for another blanket term to describe
the territory 9413 covers.
