Hello,

yesterday, at the end of our meeting, we mentioned that want to gauge the group's interest about holding an ICNRG interim meeting, like a work-workshop, on Metaverse-related topics in the context of ICN.

For example, questions to get this started could be:

* what interactions do we foresee for "Metaverse" systems, and how could they be served by ICN concepts and mechanisms?
* we often talk about multi-destination delivery in ICN. How can we gain more experimental experience? What is missing for building usable applications?
* how do we envision hypermedia systems on top of ICN, and what is needed for that, e.g., RESTFul ICN?
* security & architectures for Metaverse systems that provide the necessary security/privacy services but still enable data sharing etc.
* decentralized and centralized operation
* seamless integration of in-network computing

The outcome could be a research agenda and possibly new work items for ICNRG.

We were thinking that end of November or beginning of September could be a good time.

Please let us your thoughts on this, i.e.,:

* would you be interested to attend and/or contribute?
* do you have any comments on topics, objectives etc?
* any other feedback?

Finally, there was a side meeting on Metaverse networking in the IETF on Monday. These are the slides that I presented: [https://gitlab.com/dkutscher/pub/-/raw/main/ietf115-metaverse-kutscher.pdf?inline=false](https://gitlab.com/dkutscher/pub/-/raw/main/ietf115-metaverse-kutscher.pdf?inline=false)

Thanks,
Dirk and Dave
