Hi Ketan,

I see a new SR Bidirectional Group Constraint Sub-TLV is added into the draft.

We have another draft defining a Reverse Segment List Sub-TLV to specify the reserve SID list of a SID list.

What is the relation between this two sub-TLVs? How to handle them if both appear?

Thanks,
Cheng

Subject: [Idr] Important updates to draft-ietf-idr-te-lsp-distribution for WG review

Hello All,

We (authors) have posted some important proposed updates to the draft for WG review and feedback.

The major changes proposed are as follows:
a) Separation of NLRI types for the various TE Policies for better clarity and proper handling in implementations.
b) "IP-based tunnels" were included as TE Policies in the introduction but there was nothing further about them in the rest of the document. Reference to them is being removed.
c) Clarifications on the use of various descriptors for respective NLRI types and the use of appropriate Protocol-IDs for them.
d) Updates for some of the status information flags for SR Policies.
e) Addition of two new constraints sub-TLVs for SR Policy CPs.
f) Clarification of the metric types and their reporting (including two new metric types)

There are also a few other editorial changes and fixes.

These changes are based on feedback and inputs from ongoing implementations. As the authors are aware of multiple implementations (in progress at various stages), we request the WG to review and provide your feedback/inputs.

Thanks,
Ketan (on behalf of co-authors)

Abstract:
This document describes a mechanism to collect the Traffic
Engineering Policy information that is locally available in a node
and advertise it into BGP Link State (BGP-LS) updates. Such
information can be used by external components for path computation,
re-optimization, service placement, network visualization, etc.
