A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts
directories. This draft is a work item of the Integrated Directory Services
Working Group of the IETF.

Title : The CCSO Nameserver (Ph) Architecture
       Author(s) : R. Hedberg, S. Dorner, P. Pomes
       Filename : draft-ietf-ids-ph-00.txt
       Pages : 11
       Date : 12/12/1995

The PH Nameserver from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign has
for some time now been used by several organizations as their choice of
publicly available database for information about people as well as other
things. It is now widely felt that the Internet community would benefit
from having a more rigorous definition of the client-server protocol, this
document will hopefully achieve that goal. The PH service as specified in
this document are built around an information model, a client command
language and the server responses.

Send a message to: mailserv@ds.internic.net. In the body type:
     "FILE /internet-drafts/draft-ietf-ids-ph-00.txt".

NOTE: The mail server at ds.internic.net can return the document in
MIME-encoded form by using the "mpack" utility. To use this
feature, insert the command "ENCODING mime" before the "FILE"
command. To decode the response(s), you will need "munpack" or
a MIME-compliant mail reader. Different MIME-compliant mail readers
exhibit different behavior, especially when dealing with
"multipart" MIME messages (i.e., documents which have been split
up into multiple messages), so check your local documentation on
      how to manipulate these messages.

For questions, please mail to Internet-Drafts@cnri.reston.va.us.

Below is the data which will enable a MIME compliant mail reader
implementation to automatically retrieve the ASCII version
of the Internet-Draft.
