The following errata report has been submitted for RFC8028, "First-Hop Router Selection by Hosts in a Multi-Prefix Network". -------------------------------------- You may review the report below and at: https://www.rfc-editor.org/errata/eid7009 -------------------------------------- Type: Technical Reported by: Brian Carpenter <brian.e.carpenter@gmail.com> Section: Abstract Original Text ------------- However, the selection of the source address for a packet is done before the first-hop router for that packet is chosen. Corrected Text -------------- However, the selection of the source address for a packet is done in some cases before the first-hop router for that packet is chosen. Notes ----- This change recognizes the fact that while server applications commonly bind to a specific source address before sending a packet, client applications commonly do not do so. (Also see following erratum.) Instructions: ------------- This erratum is currently posted as "Reported". If necessary, please use "Reply All" to discuss whether it should be verified or rejected. When a decision is reached, the verifying party can log in to change the status and edit the report, if necessary. -------------------------------------- RFC8028 (draft-ietf-6man-multi-homed-host-10) -------------------------------------- Title : First-Hop Router Selection by Hosts in a Multi-Prefix Network Publication Date : November 2016 Author(s) : F.
