That’s been written at ISO documents. ;)

The ITS station router is the router used to connect to outside (e.g., to other vehicles’s ITS station router, or to the Internet via the roadside ITS station). In other words, the ITS station router is the mobile router (with the NEMO concept). The ITS station gateway is the gateway connecting to ECUs on a propriety in-vehicle network (e.g., CAN). As I mentioned, on the ITS station internal network, the three entities (i.e., ITS station router, ITS station gateway, and ITS station host) are connected.
