And just to reinforce: users consider "sent" to be different to
"scheduled to be sent". The concept of an outbox is the common approach
that MUAs take to distinguishing this. For example:
Outlook[1]: *You can delay the delivery of an individual email message
or you can use rules to delay the delivery of all messages by having
them held in the Outbox for a specified time after you click Send.*
Boomerang for Gmail[2]: *To view all messages scheduled to be sent out,
simply go to the Boomerang-Outbox folder in your Google account.*
Mixmax for Gmail[3]: *You'll see a list of your scheduled emails in your
Outbox. You can click to Reschedule or Stop your email which moves it to
your drafts.*
MailButler for Apple Mail[4]:* Your scheduled emails will be saved in
the Outbox folder until the delivery time. […] When your email is sent
automatically, it is placed in your Sent folder, as with any other
sent email.*
I have yet to find one that puts the messages straight in your
sent folder.
Neil.
