I have left this as it was, as the introduction starts with a brief description of JMAP as a "generic protocol for synchronizing data", and the methods are just standard JMAP methods for doing this. I think it will be clear to anyone working in the ecosystem.

This is true, and the same applies to name. Being able to provide multiple versions of the property with associated language tags adds a lot of complexity while being unlikely to be used widely in practice. It could of course be added by a future document.

You can have more than one Principal, in fact a system with only one would not be very useful. Each Principal represents a user, group, or other entity with which you could share something.
