Here are some more comments on this I-D. My earlier comments I have retained at the end. Again, not a proper review. YANG module description /Layer 1 types/ Layer 1 YANG types/ or perhaps A YANG Data Model for Layer 1 Types bandwidth scientific notation is the canonical form lower case? I like to view the Normative References but think that here I cannot because they are subscription only. This issue came up before but I cannot remember what the conclusion was and things may have moved on since then. ANSI I have never been able to access - subscription only I think. ITU-T I have had problems with in the past but I now seem to have access (but they could do with lessons from the datatracker about searching = I really do not want 11587 hits for G.709!) IEEE I used to be able to access but now struggle - the website has moved and been 'improved'. The URL in the HTML version of the I-D work but tell me that I do not have access. 802,3 I have previously downloaded and printed but seemingly no more. Online viewing such a large document I find time consuming. Tom Petch From: tom petch <ietfc@btconnect.com> Sent: 10 November 2023 11:15 Some time ago ago I had this at my fingertips but no more:-( I may find time for a proper review but did note, so far, ISO/IEC C99 is in the I-D but not the I-D References IEEE Std 754-2008: is in the I-D but the references have -2019; this topic is fraught - it may be that the older one is wanted here ANSI T1.105-1995: is in the I-D but the references have 2001 p.5 'section Section' p.7 several should that might be SHOULD Tom Petch ________________________________________ From: CCAMP <ccamp-bounces@ietf.org> on behalf of The IESG <iesg-secretary@ietf.org> Sent: 31 October 2023 16:01 To: IETF-Announce Cc: rdd@cert.org; ccamp-chairs@ietf.org; ccamp@ietf.org; draft-ietf-ccamp-layer1-types@ietf.org; daniele.ceccarelli@ericsson.com Subject: [CCAMP] Last Call: <draft-ietf-ccamp-layer1-types-16.txt> (A YANG Data Model for Layer 1 Types) to Proposed Standard The IESG has received a request from the Common Control and Measurement Plane WG (ccamp) to consider the following document: - 'A YANG Data Model for Layer 1 Types' <draft-ietf-ccamp-layer1-types-16.txt> as Proposed Standard The IESG plans to make a decision in the next few weeks, and solicits final comments on this action. Please send substantive comments to the last-call@ietf.org mailing lists by 2023-11-21. Exceptionally, comments may be sent to iesg@ietf.org instead. In either case, please retain the beginning of the Subject line to allow automated sorting. Abstract This document defines a collection of common data types and groupings in the YANG data modeling language for use with layer 1 networks. These derived common types and groupings are intended to be imported by modules that specify OTN networks, such as topology, tunnel, client signal adaptation and service. The file can be obtained via https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-ccamp-layer1-types/ No IPR declarations have been submitted directly on this I-D. The document contains these normative downward references.
