FYI, as this has been dragging on for quite some time (college 
freshmen that entered school at the start of this effort are now 
preparing for their senior graduation exams ;))...

...this was to answer a gaggle of post-last-call comments (there were 
no during last-call comments) raised by discussions in the IESG and 
other mail that I received.

I've been told that some were to send me comments now.  To be warned, 
if it's not AUTH48'able, it'll wait until "Clarifications on the Role 
of Wildcards in the Domain Name System" or perhaps until "The Domain 
Name System, version 2."

The last was a joke.  I hope.
