The following errata report has been held for document update for RFC7950, "The YANG 1.1 Data Modeling Language" -------------------------------------- You may review the report below and at: https://errata.rfc-editor.org/eid9005/ -------------------------------------- Status: Held for Document Update Type: Technical Reported by: Ladislav Lhotka <ladislav@lhotka.name> Date Reported: June 22, 2026, 6:07 a.m. Held by: Mahesh Jethanandani (IESG) Section 8.1 says: Original Text ------------- o All referential integrity constraints defined via the "path" statement MUST be satisfied. Corrected Text -------------- o All referential integrity constraints defined by the value of a leaf with the "instance-identifier" or "leafref" types MUST be satisfied if the "require-instance" property for that type is true. Notes ----- The original bullet item has two problems: 1. Its formulation was adopted from RFC 6020 without taking into account that the "require-instance" statement was added to the "leafref" type in YANG 1.1. 2. The "instance-identifier" type defines another referential integrity constraint that should be treated the same as the "leafref" constraint. Verifier's Note: See the mail thread at https://mailarchive.ietf.org/arch/msg/netmod/9mTZaCpBBNL4a5s9Hzf2w8HlA_k/ -------------------------------------- RFC7950 (draft-ietf-netmod-rfc6020bis) -------------------------------------- Title : The YANG 1.1 Data Modeling Language Publication Date : August 2016 Author(s) : M.
