I see.  I had in mind to stick pretty much to the ESIS model....
hosts send to routers, and routers respond with redirect if the
host is on the same LAN......

Even with your model, though, I still don't see why hosts should
know about router3.  It is on a completely different subnet...they
can only get to router3 through router 1 or 2.....they should never
care about router 3 at all......
