Thank you to all those who have already sent me the slides.

Can all the speakers for the QIRG session send me their slides ASAP so that I can upload them as meeting materials ahead of time.

Also, I have so far assumed that all presenters are presenting in person. If you are presenting online, please also let me and/or Rod know ASAP.

If you are presenting online, please keep in mind that you:

  1. Need a datatracker account: https://datatracker.ietf.org/accounts/create/
  2. Need to register for online attendance: https://registration.ietf.org/118/
  3. Join the meeting via meetecho: https://meetings.conf.meetecho.com/ietf118/?session=31726

Thanks,
Wojtek

Dear all,

I have uploaded the agenda at: https://datatracker.ietf.org/meeting/118/materials/agenda-118-qirg-00<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/datatracker.ietf.org/meeting/118/materials/agenda-118-qirg-00__;!!PAKc-5URQlI!8kupWPxCjPxDVgmtwBbvSFzSzjKtXhzoUirI6ZZkrrRn_ifLQa0KLQZd6izJqu7VmWTxUt4U2fBZm162LcRNHQcLL_4q9wP8ossD2A$>.

Can the speakers send me their slides by 3 November so that I can upload them as meeting materials ahead of time.

Please note that due to time constraints I had to reduce the last two talks (in order as was replied to call for agenda items) to 15 minutes each.

Please also note that the agenda is completely full and therefore, we will have to be very mindful of the time in the meeting. Make sure to leave a good amount of time for questions if you would like to have them during the meeting, otherwise I would like to encourage you to have follow-up discussions after the meeting.

Looking forward to seeing you all in Prague!
Thanks,
Wojtek

Dear all,

Thanks for all the replies!

I collected the following suggestions for IETF 118 meeting (in the order I could find them in my inbox):

  1. Diego Lopez: "Lessons learned from the QKD deployments, trying to identify some architectural patterns for the Quantum Internet"
  2. Martin Stiemerling "DemoQuanDT: lessons learned including pain points".
  3. Janis Nötzel "Quantum research projects, e.g., quantum token, so would like to share ideas and perspectives".
  4. Marcello Caleffi "Works towards quantum internet standards".
  5. Riccardo Bassoli "Activities for the design and realisation of 5G-quantum networks".

Please let me know if I missed anybody!

Can I request all the proposers to send me the following information by 22 October:

  1. Speaker name (if different from the name above).
  2. Title (as you want it to appear on the agenda).
  3. Brief abstract.
  4. (optional) Speaker bio.
  5. (optional) I expect each to be max. 20 minutes (including questions). If you need less time, please let me know.

Thanks,
Wojtek

Subject: [Qirg] Call for agenda items at the IETF 118

Dear QIRG,

It seems there is some interest in a face-to-face meeting in Prague at the IETF 118 between 4-10 November.

If you would like to present at the QIRG meeting at the IETF 118, could you please e-mail the QIRG chairs qirg-chairs@ietf.org<mailto:qirg-chairs@ietf.org> (or reply to this e-mail) by Monday 18 September.

I would like to encourage the QIRG community to come forward and give talks that they think would be interesting to the community and might foster research collaboration. There is no need to propose a draft or any other similar work item. Since this is the European IETF, I would like to encourage any participants working on EuroQCI projects to come and share their plans, roadmap, and/or lessons learned on networking topics in this area.

Many thanks,
Wojtek
