Hi all,

We submitted a new draft proposing to make use of existing codec APIs on mobile terminals to provide a more cost-effective way of achieving better interoperability without extra costs for the browser vendors to re-implement relevant audio/video codecs. It also proposes to add notifications from the browser to web apps whether or not a codec is provided by the local platform or not, so that the apps can make an informed decision on which codec to use in its specific communication scenario.

Your comments are welcome.
