I have reviewed this document as part of the security directorate's ongoing
effort to review all IETF documents being processed by the IESG. Document
editors and WG chairs should treat these comments just like any other last
call comments.

The summary of the review is Ready.

The summary of the review is Ready.

I previously reviewed this document here:
https://mailarchive.ietf.org/arch/msg/secdir/UsGPRGLtTcy7Kh4YaT4lUbn5PUs
and consider my comments there to have been resolved.

Security
--------

Given that this is a survey document for which security is generally
out of scope, I consider the very brief Security Considerations
section to be satisfactory.

Two Minor Comments
------------------

The first paragraph of Section 4 seems to imply that 802.11 is no
longer trying for better speed. It is true that reliability is now
more of a focus. The current big effort is 802.11bn which does
emphasize reduced loss and reduced latency but still includes a goal
of 25% higher throughput. I suggest the following wording change:
OLD
In the recent years, the evolution of the IEEE Std 802.11 standard is
taking a new direction, looking not any more for more speed, but also
for reliability, to enable new fields of application such as
   Industrial IoT and Virtual Reality.
NEW
In the recent years, the evolution of the IEEE Std 802.11 standard
has taken a new direction, emphasizing improved reliability and
reduced latency as well as minor improvements in speed, to enable
new fields of application such as Industrial IoT and Virtual
   Reality.

There is one occurrence of "(WFA)" in the document which I think should be
changed to "[WFA]" since [WFA] has been added to the References.

Thanks,
Donald
