I acknowledge that there are wider threats, that need to
be addressed, but as Steve says this I-D should not be
a hostage to us putting in place solutions to those problems.
[WEG] We can certainly discuss in more detail, but I did want to respond to this one thing...
I am not requesting that the doc be held hostage, certainly not until there are solutions. I am mainly requesting that the problems left unaddressed be discussed in a bit more detail to make the security posture clearer, without so many references to the specific choices made by SIDR's charter.
I can't seem to make it clear that I'm not trying to do an end-run around the charter nor editorialize on those choices post-facto. Rather I am merely stating that SIDR's charter does not make the problem disappear, and I'd rather see it discussed for what it is instead of handwaving it away because it's not in charter.
