I support the adoption of draft-sriram-sidrops-bar-sav by Sidrops.

Comments:

1. I believe adoption of BAR-SAV may (finally) lead to significant
improvement in prevention of IP spoofing and attacks abusing it (esp.,
BW-DoS aka clogging attacks). So I consider BAR-SAV an important step
forward.

2. BAR-SAV should be helpful also to deploy improved defenses
against BW-DoS and prefix-hijack attacks, e.g., as in Artemis (IEEE/ACM ToN
Dec 2018).

3. I expect significant further improvements along the same lines, taking
advantage of BAR-SAV and improving it, to use incrementally-adoptable
version/variant of BGPsec. We work on one such design.

4. I agree with a concern raised that if ASPA fails to become an RFC, this
draft may need to be updated or retired. But I hope ASPA does become an RFC
:)

Best, Amir
