Hi Randy / SIDROPS

Firstly my apologies for taking so long to deal with this - I was away for a bit.

I am ok with revision 7, but during conversations with Ben Madisson and Mark Tinka during SAFNOG when I indicated that I was fine with this and would clear the discuss, I was asked if I would be ok with removing the last sentence ("Such circumstances could include operational work-arounds such as the informed consent of the affected peers.")

Based on the fact that section 5 now removes the MUST's and changes them to should's I'm ok with removing this sentence if the authors agree - alternatively I am also ok with going with version 7. Either way, I am going to clear the discuss and leave it to the authors to decide if they are ok with submitting the update as requested by Ben Madisson to me off list.

Thanks

Andrew

andrew:

hack suggested by a friend now in rev-07

If the BGP speaker's equipment has insufficient resources to support
either of the two proposed options (keeping a full AdjRibIn or at
least the dropped routes), the equipment should either be replaced
with capable equipment or not use ROV. I.e. the configuration
setting in Section 4 should only be used in very well known and
controlled circumstances. Such circumstances could include
operational work-arounds such as the informed consent of the affected
   peers.
