because that is how business is done.  and the signature on that piece
of paper is kinda important.  but they don't wave it; they fax it.  yes,
in 2021 they fax it.  some hipsters use docusign.

    hardware has advanced far faster than software.  and a snail has
    advanced faster than human computer use.  here we are in chat, which
    i used in the late '70s on the arpanet.  and next it will be a phone
    call.
