I was going to suggest the same thing.
Since there can only be one transaction outstanding from any one
cache, the state can be stored as flags on the records.
You would need to add that any PDU following the data PDUs
other than an End Of Data will invalidate the previous data PDUs.
For example, a Serial Notify or a Cache Response.
