How about:

3.1. version

The version number of the ASProviderAttestation MUST be 1.

NOTE: Version 0 was used in an Internet-Draft that was used with a
different syntax that was specified in an Internet-Draft. The version
is set to 1 to detect potential interoperability difficulties with those
   early implementations.
