[Space] TR: New Version Notification for draft-piraux-space-constellation-code-00.txt

Hi,

I've submitted the first version of a document that I think could be
interesting to the RG.

In a nutshell, the draft specifies a text format to encode characteristics
of a satellite constellation. It is useful when building simulations and
analysis tools such that they can be generic and quickly configured with a
particular satellite constellation. Then, tools can be more easily compared
and become complementary when studying a particular deployment.

For instance, S:1200:87.9:672/12/11 represents the OneWeb constellation.

In addition, the draft could serve as an introduction to orbital elements
and satellite constellation patterns to IETF participants. The latter is
described already in this version, but the former is still lacking.

I have been using the code in my experiments together with a library that
can compute the position of satellites at a given time with a given
constellation code.

I would be happy to prepare a presentation to the RG presenting the
constellation patterns considered in the document and their implications on
satellite networks. However, I see the agenda is already quite packed so it
is maybe best for the next meeting or interim.

Abstract:
   When considering a satellite constellation forming a non-terrestrial
   network, the characteristics of this constellation heavily influences
   the network topology it forms.  To improve the analysis of such non-
   terrestrial networks across various tools developed by the network
   community, this document proposes a notation to describe common
   constellation patterns.  In addition, this document may serve as an
   introduction to satellite constellations for IETF participants.
