> My question remains, are you in favor of a working group? Or no? I wasn't the one being overtly addressed in that mail, but since different people are answering: as an implementor (albeit a relatively fringe implementor), there are three things I can think of offhand I'd like to see fixed in ssh; I'm in favour of a WG if it plausibly leads to progress on even one of them. The three things: (1) I'd like to see the UTF-8 botch fixed, so it's actually implementable as specced on most Unix varants. (2) My implementation uses a number of name@fqdn extensions. One group of them adds a cookie to otherwise standard requests, so a response can be linked to the request that led to it; I'd like to see that integrated, so my connection sharing can interoperate with others'. I also have a request which carries five pieces of tty state which aren't present in the pty-req request; I'd like to see those pieces integrated somehow. (3) I'd like to see an interchange format defined for the private portion of public/private key pairs, so it's feasible to move keys, including their private portions, between implementations. /~\ The ASCII Mouse \ / Ribbon Campaign X Against HTML mouse@rodents-montreal.org / \ Email! 7D C8 61 52 5D E7 2D 39 4E F1 31 3E E8 B3 27 4B
