We have just submitted an updated version for the draft based on some review and text proposal from Adrian

We believe this model would be useful to complete the YANG TE model toolkit with MPLS-TE topology technology specific information and we think the draft is ready for WG adoption

<tp>
Were an adoption call to be issued, I would oppose adoption.

Abstract is almost devoid of meaning. A YANG model, yes but so what? What is the point of the model, what problem does it solve?

This e-mail is slightly more informative, talking of completing the tool set. But with a large number, hundreds?, of YANG models already in existince, who needs this and why? What tool set? I can reverse engineer the YANG to see if I get answers but to me that is always a sign that the I-D is not ready.

The list of prefix inludes te-packet-types wich I cannot see anywhere else in the I-D.

That prefix is alleged to appear in teas-yang-l3-te-topo. Again I cannot see it.

The imports lack reference clauses which to my mind is of a one with the above

The text talks of the types being used in teas-yang-te-mpls w;hich is not currently the case in that expired I0D, and I-D which had similar problems last time I commented on it.

I see a large number of authors and again that is a danger sign to me, that the document as a whole may not make sense.

I think that you need, somewhere, an explanation of the intersection of TE, MPLS and topology, starting from somewhere - hard to know where - and covering the field.

Adrian may be happy but that mightn be a reflection on the vast range of knowledge that Adrian has but which not all readers may possess - this one doesn't.

Tom Petch

Any further comments are welcome

p.s. You might regret saying that :-)

Thanks, Italo (on behalf of co-authors/contributors)
