As there has been a lot of interest in the CMP Internet
draft on multiplexing Telnet and Rlogin session, (see
enclosed abstract), we have setup a mailing list for anyone
who wishes to take part in the discussion:

	cmp-id@xylint.co.uk

Requests to join the mailing list should be directed to:

Title : Connection Multiplexing Protocol (CMP)
       Author(s) : P. Cameron, J. Bates
       Filename : draft-cameron-cmp-00.txt
       Pages : 11

One of the problems with terminal servers attached to a LAN is the
large number of small packets they can generate. Frequently, most of
these packets are destined for only one or two hosts. CMP is a
protocol which allows multiple Telnet and Rlogin connections, between
a server and a host, to share a single TCP connection. With simple
extensions this can be expanded to include other TCP protocols.
