I am very interested in seeing draft-sandbakken-xcon-bfcp-udp move forward as I see it as a very useful and straightforward extension of RFC 4582 that solves a real world problem in an way that makes use of many existing mechanisms already standardized within the IETF. With the IMTC, we are already recommending support for draft-sandbakken-xcon-bfcp-udp in addition to RFC 4582 as there are cases in which BFCP via TCP is not possible and BFCP via UDP offers a very workable solution. The draft already has wide support with the IMTC member companies, most of which are quite active within the IETF as well, so I feel there is sufficient support to move this draft forward.
As for the best path to achieve this, XCON seems the most logical choice to me, but I only recently started following the group's work and defer to others on the best way forward in terms or timing and procedure. My main concern is that the path taken is one that leads to standardize the addition of BFCP via UDP sooner rather than later.

Thanks,
Charles
