Greetings all,

As Peter noted in the agenda for the RSOC/RSAB kickoff meeting:

> The RSOC would like to make the RSAB aware of the need to address day-to-day operational issues that arise during the editing and publication of RFCs; these are currently handled via the “RFC XML and Style Guide Change Management Team”

Previously, the RFC Series Oversight Committee (RSOC) chartered the RFC XML and Style Guide Change Management Team (CMT) to review issues related to RFCXML and the Style Guide. The CMT provides expert XML guidance and ensures issues are addressed so RFC publication can continue. Note that this group is not making policy decisions; larger policy items are being noted as items to raise with the RSWG.

Based on our discussions during IETF, the RPC will convene the CMT now that RSOC has been decommissioned. The existing members of CMT have agreed to continue to serve. For continuity, we would like to continue using the existing mail list <xml-sg-cmt@ietf.org>, with the archives available at <https://mailarchive.ietf.org/arch/browse/xml-sg-cmt/>.

We believe this aligns with our discussion during IETF. Please let me know if I’ve misunderstood anything or if there are any concerns.

Thanks,
Sandy
