Well, that's a bit more than plain pick-pocketing... :-)

Anyway, I was more concerned/wondering about being robbed with guns, or
being beaten up for that purpose (and that kind of stuff -- i.e., stuff
for which commons sense might not help much)....

The reviews I've read about the area are not really nice... but I don't
really know to what extent they should be taken seriously...
