Hi Hannu,

Thanks for your review and suggestions! It is very appreciated.

Yes, I agree with you. Your point is great.
The characteristics of scaling deterministic networks may consist of two aspects including large-scale network topologies/domains and large-scale dynamic traffic/flows. The enhanced use cases should justify the requirements from these two aspects.
For the current version, the use cases only clarify the the traffic characteristics including the diversified SLAs requirements and different levels of applications. For the next version, the characteristics and requirements of large-scale network topologies/domains could be added by describing the existing deployment and implemetations.

And we are planning a side meeting at 118 to discuss the enhanced use cases, requirements, gap analysis and solutions considerations for the scaling deterministic networks.

https://github.com/xiongquan1230/IETF118-Sidemeeting
Multi-domain/cross domain use cases will be also described in the side meeting and welcome to join us and discuss in details. Thanks!

Best Regards,
Quan

Hello Quan

Thank you for the draft about scaling deterministic networks use cases.

I think that the draft would benefit by adding compelling reasons for each use case why the use case would be multi-domain/cross domain use case.
I do think that just listing traffic characteristics (from 3GPP) would relieve what makes the use case specific for enhanced or scaled deterministic networks.
Maybe you could consider adding such justification into the draft?

Best regards
Hannu

Hi WG,

I have just submitted a new draft to describe the enhanced use cases and network requirements for scaling deterministic networks which is mentioned at 117 meeting and they are not covered in RFC8578, such
as industrial internet, high experience Video and computing-aware applications, and analyzes the classification for the typical applications.

Welcome to review and comments to the enhanced use cases. Thanks!
Best Regards,
Quan
