Yes -- I agree that more focus on the win-win/neutral cases is needed.

However, trade-offs should be kept in mind to understand the potential
impact and to avoid falling into them with new ideas.  I think this is
more important as we look at larger, more complex systems.

For example, we wrote a draft that considers the interaction between
network performance and efforts at energy aware control planes.  The
intent is for it to be a guide for those working enhancements or new
proposals.
