rfc 2616 content-md failed before md5-the-algotrithm aged-out for unrelated
reasons.

no need to yoke that complexity to immutable - the fact that it is
trivially deployable gives the standards based approach some hope (and at
least 4 implementations already of a -00). The alternative to a too-complex
reject standard is a set of heuristics in clients that don't behave
consistently across the Internet.
