I support the adoption as a working group document.

From following the discussions on the list, I believe there is enough interest from the WG to have this work being adopted as a working group item. I believe all current issues discussed can be worked out while it is a WG document. As it looks to me though, I would like to see this draft updating RFC 8092 rather than standing alone. Especially where it introduces additional transitivity bits within the first bits of the attribute and I would like to see more clarity on that within the draft.

Subject: [Idr] Adoption call for draft-heitz-idr-wklc-02 (3/9 to 3/23)

This begins a WG Adoption call for draft-heitz-idr-wklc-02.txt.

https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-heitz-idr-wklc/<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdatatracker.ietf.org%2Fdoc%2Fdraft-heitz-idr-wklc%2F&data=04%7C01%7Coliver.borchert%40nist.gov%7C8a8e11e810df492fb8ff08d8e2e4976d%7C2ab5d82fd8fa4797a93e054655c61dec%7C1%7C1%7C637508818745715782%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0&sdata=IPfIDxrFjrs03iADETClS1rQ2armk4SVB%2BhPktxrlpI%3D&reserved=0>

In your review of this draft, please consider:

1) Should IDR standardize a set of “well known large communities”?
2) Will the transitivity field help these well know large communities?
3) Is this document ready for adoption?

I’ve not received Sriram’s IPR statement. If this statement is not received within 1 week, this WG adoption call will pause waiting for that statement.

Cheers, Susan Hares
