I have been examining my options, and have decided that I really
can't afford the time or cost of attending the retreat - that
distance for a day and a half or two day meeting is just too
hard to justify.

If there's some way I could dial into some part of the meeting
(via a speakerphone on a desk or something), I could certainly
do that (if there's some way of predicting when would be the
better times to try) if it would make any sense at all.

Even hours on a phone is cheaper (and less disruptive) than
a plane to the east coast of the US...
