I love Outlook Express. I've had much less problems that with Netscape Communicator and the mail filtering is much better. However, since it's a beta, I can't recommend it to be used as a production client. I currently use Eudora, which is POP3 based and promises to move to IMAP in December. Once Outlook Express comes out in final form, I'll be using that from home and Eudora 4 at work. -Ernie At 11:27 AM 8/21/97 +0100, you wrote: >Can anyone recommend to me a good IMAP client to use on Windows (win32) >within a LAN environment? > >I've got fed up of Netscape Communicator's poor interaction with imapd >(namely that it takes several seconds to perform any action, and quite >often re-opens the connection to the IMAPD server, even resulting in >deadlock because two IMAPDs want the lock on the mailfile). > >If I can't find one I may have to switch to POP3 (which I don't want to >do because I'd rather have my mail stored on the server). > >-- >Chris Box mailto:cb@k-par.co.uk >K-par Systems Ltd http://www.k-par.co.uk > > -Ernie -- http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Park/9276 _____/ ____ / /Ernie "Shokk" Oporto-SysAdmin _____ ____ / \ __ / __ Mentor Graphics Corporation \______/ __ __ \______/ __ \___ __ \___
