Hello Eric,

You wrote:
The below is my comments (as document shepherd) for the Working Group Last Call on
this draft.

Comments:

I support progression of this document after addressing a number of issues.

As you may have noticed we, the editors/authors, have addressed your issues
and uploaded a new version of the draft (see below).

The main updates are:
-1- reduction of the number of authors to 5
-2- the referencing to RFC5654 has been improved
-3- the concern regarding the presence of different protection modes is
removed by including a statement that all nodes in the ring MUST be
provisioned in the same protection mode.
To detect possible misconfiguration two bits are used in the RPS PDU
that identify the protection switching mode which allows detection of
       any mis-configuration during provisioning.

If you agree with these updates the document can be progressed.

Best regards, Huub.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the Multiprotocol Label Switching of the IETF.

Title : Shared-Ring protection (MSRP) mechanism for ring topology
        Authors : Weiqiang Cheng
                          Lei Wang
                          Han Li

	Pages : 47
	Date : 2016-10-01

Abstract:
This document describes requirements, architecture and solutions for
MPLS-TP Shared Ring Protection (MSRP) in a ring topology for point-
to-point (P2P) services. The MSRP mechanism is described to meet the
ring protection requirements as described in RFC 5654. This document
defines the Ring Protection Switch (RPS) Protocol that is used to
coordinate the protection behavior of the nodes on MPLS ring.
