Hi Joe,

Thank you for your comments.

I have a question on the management address. Do you mean a
management interface that is attached to virtual machine as a
network interface and that cannot be distinguished as a
management interface from the hypervisor w/o VMware tools etc?
Or, do you mean a management interface provided by the hypervisor
for a virtual machine (let's call it a virtual IPMI here)?

If you mean the former, I think it is reasonable to include it in
entLogicalTable of ENTITY-MIB but not in the VMM-MIB . However,
if you mean the latter, I think it should be included in the VMM-MIB.

There is a patch of the virtual IPMI for qemu though it haven't been
merged the trunk as follows:
https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/qemu-devel/2012-07/msg02516.html
https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/qemu-devel/2012-07/msg02525.html

Does anybody know such other implementations of the virtual IPMI?
If there are, we may need to take into account them.

Thank you,
Hirochika
