Thanks for your interest.
However, the success of my proposal should not be of influence on the 
use of delta notation.

For the moment every YANG integer identifier MUST be encoded with delta 
notation. That is too restrictive in my opinion.
Secondly, using the delta notation can be interesting outside the YANG 
context.
