The 1st generation of Starlink satellites does not have any on-board
processing. So of course you will not see the satellites.

Even if they had on-board processing (to get intersatellite links) why
would they use IP routing outside of the ground network as they control the
who network?

Dear all,

In Starlink, a traceroute command does not show the satellites, just
the gateway. I think that this is an indication that they are not
using IP routing protocols.
