I really don't think exposing channels to JS is the proper thing to do.
 For one, that means that the application must be prepared to deal with
browsers which support and don't support MUX (and therefore don't even
provide that API), and connections that go through an intermediary that
doesn't support it.

Instead, I think applications that want multiple channels should just open
them as they do today.  If the browser and server negotiate MUX, then the
browser will aggregate those connections, and if not it will continue to
work.
