Hi, Paul,

This is a side note.

Sometimes I perform duties of liaison with ISO/TC204 'ITS'.

I checked what can be related of IPMON effort and the last meeting of
ISO/TC204.

Generally speaking I can say that the IPMON problem statement relates
more to 3GPP than to ISO/TC204 or other vehicular-focused SDOs styles of
use cqses. (these 'vehicular' SDOs are more targeted at very specific,
dedicated, use-cases; such a use case could be, for example, a
weather-extended ODD, a traffic sign recognition use-case, etc; on
another hand, 3GPP considers even the simplest and most generic 'V2V' to
be a use case in itself).

The problem statement document has many references to 3GPP and vehicular
networks, V2V and V2I.

This V2V and V2I is also cited as a use case in an ITU document that was
reported recently to the ISO/TC204.

https://www.itu.int/dms_pub/itu-r/opb/rep/R-REP-M.2516-2022-PDF-E.pdf

This ITU document talks more than just vehicles, and it extends into
year 2030 and beyond.
