Note that the BIDIR-PIM RP can be a real, actual IP address or a fictitious address.  And agree that there is no such thing as SSM-BIDIR-PIM.

But, if we wanted to create a PIM-BIDIR-SSM mode, we could define the RP to be the source for SSM-BIDIR-PIM. In this case, routers would not forward the traffic unless it is transmitted from the source which is the RP.  The interesting question then is whether such a PIM-BIDIR-SSM is more efficient or basically identical to PIM-SM-SSM?
