I don't see that draft-ietf-v6ops-design-choices has any applicability to homenet. The design-choices draft states up front that the applicable network is one being designed (i.e., "managed") by someone "who is knowledgeable about best current practices around IPv4 network design, and wishes to learn the corresponding practices for IPv6". That puts homenet way, way out of scope. IMO, it's really about enterprise networks.
