Yes, and that's exactly why, back in 2000, we agreed the following text
with ICANN:
  "4.4. The IANA shall make available to the public, on-line and free of
   charge, information about each current assignment,..."
The fact that this is reached by a URL including "iana.org" is a
technical detail. The important part is the commitment to publish
the assignments. I fail to understand why we are wasting so many
words on the technical detail. I'm tempted to spam filter all future
email on this list containing the string "iana.org".
