<sigh> Unless you want to add everyone's favorite physical layer
technology, you may want to "genericize" all but the 2 most prevalent
(Ethernet and 802.11). For example: "... Ethernet, 802.11, over coax,
over power line, over phone line, or other wireless communication
technologies."
