It's technically correct. However, you're using very sharp English in a
document about Unicode. I wouldn't use that phrasing in a document meant
for native speakers, but I agree it's a judgement call.

The document is very well written in the sense that I can hear you speaking
(it helps to know what you sound like). But I don't think this voice works
in the long term. Imagine someone in China or India reading the document. I
think more basic English is called for. But, up to the authors.
