I guess I'm still unclear on the difference.  I'm fine with either status, especially if someone can point me at a good definition so I understand why one's better than the other.

IMHO, there's not enough support for the extension as a Standards Track item.  I imagine if there's a group that wants to pursue an Experimental one, that could happen through the ISE.

Given that, I (respectfully!) suggest this could be handled by APPSAWG.  I've already requested a slot for it in Taipei.
